R. Screven Farmer, MD

Undergraduate degree completed at the Georgia Institute of Technology. M.D. received from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Internship in general surgery at the University of Arizona in 1980 and residency in anesthesia at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Farmer has served SAA and the medical community extensively in a variety of significant positions, having served as a member of the Board of Directors of SAA, as the Chief of Anesthesia at St. Joseph’s Hospital, as the Chief of Staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and as a board member for the Pima County Medical Society, and as the President of the Arizona Medical Association. He currently serves on the board of both the Arizona Medical Association and the Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists (for which he also serves as the Treasurer), as well as serving as the President of SAA. Board Certified.
